sorry i used the search engine, but it didnt return the infor i was looking for, im in the middle on doing an rb26dett swap into my 98 black kouki s14, and i have been getting parts for a long time now, i bought mckinney mounts and had a hell of a time to get them to fit, now im about to get a motor, and im not sure as to if the oil pan i already have will fit, i didnt pay anything for it, so im not out any money, but if i could use it, i would rather instead of paying the other 200 dollars for a rb25 oil pan

1.has anyone used the rb20det oil pan, instead of the rb25det oil pan and had success?

2. what mods do you have to do inorder to get it to fit the rb26? i know to remove the oil pan with the built in diff, but do you need to keep any thing from it to get the other one to work?

if anyone has done this please post on this topic, because i havent found any info on this, thanks alot.

If you have a 26 just use the rb26 pan and chop off the diff and what not. With a 20/25 pan you will have to cut a hole in the baffling. The sumps are in different spots for the 25 and 20. I would have the aluminum 26 pan over the steel 20/25 pan any day.
