So my rb20det swap is going like crap, right now it will not start worth a crap. As far as i can tell i have no vacuum leaks, i deleted my cold start valve as it did not function. I cleaned my iacv, new plugs, new filter, and cleaned the maf. Now the other thing is none of my idiot lights turn on, the only thing that i can tell that works is the gas gauge, back lights, the water temp gauge, high beam light, blinker lights(but my turn signals dont work), and my clock. This guy said he had a similiar problem except i think he gave it gas, and said his dummy light didnt work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwXM2xR0IcY

Heres a cold start video

Heres the warm start video

Any idea guys? I really want to get my car running and driving :(

Someone did a few months back have a hard starting problem with the RB20. Try searching or looking back a few pages in this forum you might find it.

sounds like a wiring issue, check the harness that is to the right of the glove box, the one that is for the cluster. there is a wire on there for cold start it is supposed to dump extra fuel to start the engine. also what fuel pump is the car running? double check the fuel pressure. your vacuum looks good at idle. how did you delete the cold start valve(the one under the throttle body right?)

The orange wire from my body harness is connected to the black/yellow ecu harness for the cold start. Im 99% my car has a walbro 255, its certainly not the stock 240 pump and thats what i was told the car had, and what it looks like. The cold start valve i capped off the barb from the manifold, and capped off the one from the iacv hose. Yup the one under the throttle body.

The car has 2 valves, Idle air and additional air which I think is used for A/C kicking on. Did you check your ignition timing and TPS settings? If it's a Auto ecu it should be 20deg and 15 for manual. Also could be wiring, put a test light on the 2 green relays and see if they are shutting off and turning on while the car is cranking. They should stay on while the car is cranking.

So i had accidentally left my coolant temp sensor unplugged and it started right up, plugged it back in and it was hard starting. Could that be it?

if it only stars with it unplugged yeah could be the temp sensor.

Now this part has been killing me, which sensor do i use? My plug is a round one. I only have the center rubber part and the clip that pushes in. Heres a pic of the one i have. trying to figure out what model i take it from.

I used a Z32 temp sensor. I think I got the plug from a B13 Sentra 2.0 that fit. It was a long time ago I changed mine.
