I just picked up a poorly swapped RB20DET NICs 1990 S13 and was looking to make some cheap power. I planned on changing some things like a turbo (HX35 possibly), injectors, management, intake, and tune, then see where it stands. I realize the intake on the NICs is a horrible design and would like to swap out the stock mani for a plenum freddy style intake.

I would just like to verify if then NIC style can be removed and a Greddy/Freddy from a RB25 could be swapped? If not is there any easy pre-made intake manifold swaps that have been produced? Could a RB20DET ECCS style be put on if need be?

Picture of the car I bought for 1500$USD. *Don't mind the the horrible render with with the 2Jz in it lol.

Technically speaking it's a very good design, It's just not pretty. No you can't use a RB25 intake manifold on the RB20. If you want a good intake manifold dig deep in your pocket and shell out money for a RIPPS intake manifold. They have some from Thailand that are pretty good too, or just go cheap and get a plenum cover that uses the stock 2ndary. Choice is up to you.
