rb20det maf question *SOLVED*

Ok so ive been researching all around google about what mafs work in a rb20. I just got a purple label n60 out of a maxima but now im seeing some people saying ya it totally works just wire it up right. then other people are saying no it doesnt at all and others saying it will with a tune like a safc. Question 2, i also saw that a e60 maf will work out of a 95+ maxima/i30. So what can be used as a replacement maf if i have no tuning devices? N60 or E60 or both or neither?

after reading more of carl H posts on n60 i think itll work. Just need to find a diagram to figure out which wires go where. My j60 maf connector has four wires whereas the n60 purp has 5. Or does the e60 plug into the stock harness i have or would i have to wire it like the n60?

thank you for that. Well still wasnt the problem even after it showed a 12 code(maf). Still has a mis so i pulled the coil pack connectors one by one til i got to one that made no difference which was the number 6. so i pull the spark plug out and no fuel smell and no black on it as there brand new but again no fuel on it. So is an injector out? i checked my wiring to it and it looks fine just dusty as one would expect.

proly a sticky injector, you can try tapping it with the motor running with something to try and free it but ideally they all should be pulled and sent out for a cleaning.

So maf is fixed and it turned out number 6 injector coil was shot so i went and got a nissan stanza injector which solved the problem.
