I am planning to swap an rb20det into my 89 240, which has the original sohc ka24e, and I was wondering if the sohc lower harness will work when rewiring for the rb20? I know the ka24e harness is sohc, but alot of the guides and info ive looked at seem to act like its not a problem by not mentioning it. If someone could clarify this for me so I can finish up preparing for the swap that would be nice, thanks.

Can someone please enlighten me with an answer to this question? According to guides like this (http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=225177) for wiring, you can use the SOHC harness OR the DOHC KA harness in your rb20det swap, but im not sure about this because its not stated as a definite. I know that when swapping an sr20det you will need a DOHC ka24de harness to work with, and this is why im doubting the sohc ka24e harness will work with the RB, but im not sure. Any help would be appreciated so i can go on with my current SOHC harness or find myself a DOHC harness and work with that.

yes the bottom harness will work only difference is the oil pressure sensor. either change the sensor out with the ka sensor or change the plug with the rb plug

Just a tip, bumping your own thread less than 5 hours after you originaly made it wondering why nobody has answered you yet it a good way to get ignored (at best).
