I know everyone is asking this but i don't seem to understand the process of installing the rb20 engine into a 91 s13. do i need custom drive shaft and motor mount like on the rb 25 and 26. other than wiring does it bolt up. I have a lift and all the tools i just want to make sure it works before i lay down 2700 for a front clip thanks

You need a mount kit or the Xmember from the skyline to install the RB20 motor into the S13. You don't need to change the drive shaft unless yours was an auto that your making a manual.

there really are about 9 million posts on this site about each question you are asking. this swap is not for people who are lazy, so dont start by being lazy on your research. I dont like to get on these forums and and tell people that they are stupid for asking such questions, but ive seen about 6 of these type of posts in the last 2 days and its getting annoying. This forum is a place to learn more about the RB engine and get help from people who have experience working on them. When abotu half the posts that come through here are the exact same stupid questions it clutters the forums and makes it hard to search for something helpful. If you search for "how to RB swap" right now, you would prob pull up about 50 pages. please take the time and research what you are about to do to your car. and yes, a crossmember and x-member are the same thing.

http://www.venus-auto.com this is for front clipshttp://www.mckinneymotorsports.com this is for mounts

I would not recommend the r32 crossmember. just spend the money and get the mounts. as far as the downpipe...I used the one I got off my clip.

Next time please atleast say you searched. Its one thing to help people who said they searched its another to help people who didnt search. I wont be answering any more of ur questions and I doubt anyone else will. Dont be lazy about this or your car is gonna turn out like crap.

Another Venus RB here. Runs like a champ and the turbo is in great condition. Had to bang out the oil pan but it came with a 3" downpipe so I gues it evens out.

Yeah I wouldnt buy from Venus. A guy I know got 2 blown motors they made him pay for both and almost made him pay for shipping on the second motor that he thinks has a cracked block. I don't call that a good company. I would be wary of them. Jarco in Georgia is always a good call. You need to search though seriously this has been covered a 100 times.~ANDREW~

thats got to be one of the longest running sentences that ive ever seen in my life. you say you know about motors well you obviously need to get familiar with these : ; , . any one of those would have made your attempt of an insult that much better.

secondly, (notice the , ) dont come on the boards ask for help then insult us after we help you and tell you that everything you asked for is already here.

good luck with the swap. you might want to start thinking about joining zilvia.net cause I dont think anyone here is gonna help you again.

I apologize for the incorrect grammer. i was also reading the stillen install for a ground kit on a customers car. i was frustrated with rb250sx reply, i appreicate everones input and when i did get to do a search i only came up with 5 posts. My main problem is that people are unclear on switch is better a x-member or just switching the motor mounts like with mckinney or top hat. Also if i buy the motor mounts do i used the stock 240sx s13 x-member with the aftermarket mounts. and i haven't been able to find a site that can tell me if i need to "fab" power steering lines if i switch from a ka24det. And if venus is not a good seller then who is i got my pricing from phase 2 motortrend. Thanks

I asked because i'm unsure which is better. and i haven't seen a swapped rb engine in an s13. and nissan America doesn't really teach rb's or swap info unless they come into our dealership we would be out in the dark.

Correction If they never would have come into our dealership we wouldn't know much about them. And i've only have two skylines come in but they are repeat customers. Very thing else performance wise is sr20 stuff and vg30dett and vg35de and a few vg35dett thanks to greddy

venus is a fine seller. its just 50/50 with them. could be good or bad. take your chances. they will also give u a gauruntee for 30 days.
