i did the same swap, 91 s13 w/ rb20det recently.
when using the ka lower harness with the rb20det swap, just use the 6-wires plug on RB EFI harness, this plug is in the engine bay.
i hook up four wires:(rb 6-wire plug) black/red -> ka black red (gray oval plug by the battery)(rb 6-wire plug) white/black -> ka red (gray oval plug by the battery)(rb 6-wire plug) white/purple -> tap into the ka fused white ignition wire in the fuse box.(one of the white plug on the RB efi harness near ecu) black/pink -> ka black/pink (brown plug by the battery)
for the tach signal and water temp signal, under the dash, on the passenger side, there's a brown plug, tap the orange/red wire and the blue/black on the ka brown plug to the rb's white plug, same as where you tap in for the fuel pump signal by the ecu.
as for the water temp sensor, some people say switch it out with the one off the ka24de, i try both, and both give the right signal to the ka cluster.
that should be it; make sure you extend your lower ka harness with the rb's plugs if nessecesary, i only extended the alternator wires.
