rb20det stock intercooler does work. You just have to get one custom pipe made.

here some pics:

Yeah but at that point it would be cheaper to get a front mount

plus you have to paint it, and then you need to make pipes which would be really short and you'd need a IC unless your using the side mount as a top mount, plus you need to make a little heat sheild so it doesn't get heat soakedBecause its on top of the motor

JUST GET THE Z31 KIT OFF OF EBAY.... THERE WAS ONE ON THERE FOR $50. THE 200ZR CAME WITH TMIC STOCK AND ITS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME SETUP AS THE SKYLINES.

We got the R33 RB25 SMIC kit on w/o any custom pieces, just a little negotiating and hose clamps. Something from ebay actually coming with every part needed!

ive boosted 12psi on the stock IC and its OK but gets heatsoaked pretty quick. Even at stock boost that small IC gets heatsoaked quick. Really these RB20s need big FMICs and side intake manifolds to get that air nice and cold....

starion front mount any good for RB ?

i have one and i will be running it

it looks big enough also the benefit is i dont wanna route the pipes infront the engine since i am using stock mounts and there is no place for pipes

Stairon intercoolers suck for flow. They are better than not having any intercooler. I'd much rather run a MKIV TT stock sidemount than the starion.

I've actually been considering running a MKIV sidemount or a Z32 sidemount... the MKIV one is really big... but it might work.

It's something I learned from RRE. I though they were pretty good intercoolers before too till I asked him. He said it won't flow more but it will cool a little better than the stock sidemount. I haven't heard anything bad about the Stock intercooler. Just that like all side mounts it will heat soak after a while. Just save a little longer and get a good FMIC core. You can get a 20X10X2.75 Griffen Core for around 300. http://www.roadraceengineering...s.htm I tried that intercooler on my DSM. I use to have a Sparco bar n Plate fmic. It wasn't as big as the griffen tho. After I bolted it on the car felt alot more responsive and pulled better vs my old FMIC. The one I have for my RB is Griffen I/C core. I got the bigger one I think it's 24"X11X3.. It's the same one XS uses for there GTR core. I think phase 2 motor trend sells them.

I have never tried but I'm sure you can make it fit. Just goin to take some time and lots of beer. It's a pretty Thick intercooler.
