Just like the post says....are 370cc injectors good for 250-280whp on an rb20det?? I would of course like to run 70-85 duty cycle, I know everybody loves 550cc's, but that really seems like overkill on a motor making less than 300 whp.

Well,

each 370cc injector is good for 74 hp on 100% duty cycle. This is derived from Injector HP=cc/min / 5

and 74hp x 6 injectors = 444hp at 100% duty cycle

so 70% of 444hp is 310hp. 85% is 377hp

I would personally not go over 75% duty cycle daily driving tho.

suicide has it down pat.370's are useless honestly, and 440's arnt much better...550's will allow for good headroom.i run 720's in my car for that reason, low duty cycles.

is there such thing as too low of duty cylce?? I am planning to go with injectors from Deutchwerks....they all cost about the same, so price isnt an issue.

low duty cycle is ideal, but you can have too large and have trouble tuning.i would shoot for atleast 50% daily driving but no more than 80% in full power mode.it doesnt make sense to slap on 800cc injectors on a car that wont make more than 250whp...nor does it make sense to run 440's on a car that will make 400whp.we put some 550's on a friends stock rb20 and tuned it for those injectors, car starts on a dime, idles perfectly, gets 25mpg (assuming he doesnt a$$ around), and gives him the fuel he needs for his eventual 350whp goal.just like maf sensors the larger you go the less fine resolution you have, something to keep in mind.
