So I thought the ka24e fuel injector kit would fit the RB20DET?? I noticed the o-rings seem maybe 1/1000's smaller. Figured I would have faith in the popular answer.

When I got finished, I turn it on and every single one of them is putting out a pretty fountain of gasoline. Did I get the wrong kits, or maybe they just need some "tweaking" to make them seal. It was dark and I had no time to pull it off again, so I am waiting till tomorrow afternoon before I try to re-seat them.

But seriously, ALL of them leaked :( I will post back after I try to reseat them. Someone please let me know if I got the wrong parts, and yes, I will be "SEARCHING" again after I eat dinner, get a shower, and my boy goes to bed.

Thanks,

rail has to be bone dry and properly lubed else you will tear the oring as it goes in.

Oops. a simple procedure wasn't so simple after all. I will go out on my next afternoon off and let it air dry, but what do I lube the rail with when i decide to try to reseat them again?

And thanks for the reply! Since you didn't say the ka24e o-ring kit is wrong, I believe I can assume that it is right. You always know your stuff and I am pretty sure you would have quickly set me on the right path! :)

Thanks again.

i normally use some good heavy engine oil or assembly lube, and yes the 20 injectors are the same as the ka-e ones.
