Wait. The car ran fine for a while, then it sat and started acting up on you? So I'm trying to figure how that's going to be a wiring issue in the ignitor. If the ignitor was mis-wired, it would never have ran right.
All motors need air, fuel, and spark to run. You've concluded you're getting fuel, but you haven't removed the possibility of something being off with the air meter. Try unplugging the MAF and see if it will start in limp mode. A lot of times when a car mysteriously enters into a non-start situation and it's meter related, disconnecting the MAF will show that the MAF has gone bad.
If it sat for a long period of time, make sure no critters climbed into the engine bay and chewed through anything (happens more than you'd think). Check the spark plugs and make sure they haven't corroded over or something or just fried in general. Also, it could be bad gas. It's likely that the car sat so long all the gas went sour and the car's having a tough time igniting it. With modern ethanol fuels, old fuel that sits tends to have issues with sediments and gelling.
