I have a short in the B/R wire on the 3 pin plug that powers the coils. I understand this is a timing reference. The car wont fire cylinder 1 with this issue. Upon probing around, I accidentally connected that wire to B+ and the car ran on all cylinders. What is the exact function of this wire? Is it a voltage reference for RPM based fuel in the ECU? Will I harm the system if I connect it to switched power so the car will run right.. Any response or guess is great. Need to get this car buttoned up for the start of the season.
