Wow... such a b**** this motor is right now.

i start it upit idles at 800 perfectly not fluctuating. then the temp gauge slowly gets to running temp and the idle fluctuates. the battery voltage fluctuates around 12.5 volts and the vacuum fluctuates from 16-8.

when the motor is cold and i start it up, i played with the throttle wid my finger and had someone watch the tach and boost gaugei would open up the throttle to 1000rpm and let of quickly and there would be a HUGE whoosh of air coming from right around the turbo, sounding like a massive and prolonged blow off. the boost gauge read 0psi. no idea what this is.

the car dies quite frequently when coming to a stop (clutch in, no throttle)then when i start it up again, it drops to 600rpm and sits there like a good lil RB, for about a minute then it goes back into its habit of fluctuating rpm, voltage and vacuum.

i can't find any source of vacuum leak. has been looked at by many for vacuum leaks. i also changed out maf to no prevail.

please help asap!!!

thats what everyone says but it is still very drivable and when im accelerating, it boosts to 14psi where i have it set and it stays there so i don't know how it can be a boost leak of that scale.

You can have a massive boost leak and still build boost easily..
