Needing help with my Rb20det swapped s13.
Rebuilt engine, all wiring is from wiring specialties.
Fires on all cylinders. But it idles at 1600 rpm.
Iv adjusted the idle screw all the way in, capped off the cold start valve and unhooked the throttle cable.
Correct me if im wrong but doing these things should block almost all air going into the intake manifold. So the car shouldn’t even really start. But it has no problem starting. I cannot find any vacuum leaks. Tps is set to .45. Before I capped off the cold start valve I was at 1800.

Now that is weird, usually, the culprit to this problem is a vacuum leak. Have you managed to solve it since it's been a month since you posted this inquiry?

The s13 gauge is meant for a 4 cylinder not inline 6. 1600 is about right on cold start up. The gauge will show about 1.5x your actual idle
