you need a chipped ecu, safc might do it as stock maps are pretty conservative...is that a hks gt3037r or a garret gt30r?

Get it chipped. The safcII cannot run 550 cc injectors on the RB20 as that is larger than 50 percent the original size of injectors. So you have to have a chipped ECU for it to work.... The afc is a nice tool but should only be used for small adjustments.

As far as getting the ECU chipped i myself am looking for that alternative.

kansei, you *can* run a rb25 off of a rb20 ecu but you will need to remap it and add a rpm window switch for the vtc to work correctly...

DSM's already have huge injectors stock (440-450cc's?). So when you plop in 550's or something you wont have to correct as much as 550's replacing 270's, like on the rb20.

i dont think you will be able to trim the fuel down enough with an safc to make it run right with the 550's in it .. 440cc gtr injectors are still a chore .. ecu tune would be best .. then use safc for fine tuning ..that setup is more than capable of 370hp with correct tuning

you will need 550's to keep the duty cycles sane, i know this is a highly debated topic but i run larger than neccisary to keep duty cycles down...380whp is roughly 440bhp, so those injectors would be screaming...

thats is true carl .. the 440's would be working their *** off .. i was not aware he wanted about 370 whp .. either way 550's are a must and ecu tune is also advisable..
