Alright, I am just about fed up with my Rb powered hatch. I had it running great then one day it backfired and died. I took it to a shop where it sat for 5 months and discovered it wasnt getting spark, so i figured new ignitor.....WRONG. Then i tried a new ECU.....Wrong again. So i finally purchased a plug and play harness....Got it yester day morning and had it in, in about 2 hours. First problem, MAFS plug was damaged and needed to be re worked, Finished it and now ECU reads ALL OK (code 55). Second Problem i still had to wire it all again. So i just finished it all today. I wired it all as it says to in every one of the How to guides and every thing seemed smooth. I put the Batt in and hooked it up, Instantly WITH NO KEY IN THE IGNITION the Fuel pump came on, the cluster "dummie lights" came on, the ecu came on, the works. I then got pissed off and started looking for the culprat.....TO no prevail. Then i took a wrench and Bashed the fenders lol, So can any one lead me in the right way befor i need to replace the windows.

Don't feel bad.. I had that same excat problem last week when my battery was connected the fuel pump came on right away with key out.

I been re-wiring my harness for a few days now making it all plug and play to be ready for installing back into the car soon (maybe tomorrow). And I am new to the wiring so I will try my best and let you know if my problem was fixed and try to tell ya what it is. But i'm gonna try to give a guess now for ya.. 1. either wired wrong 12v unswitched, 2 wrong wired to 12v switched, or 3, wrong wired fuel pump relay trigger

and its alright i bash my fenders too with my feet. haha

Alright now that the rain has stopped, I Pulled all the wires again and rewired them 1 by one and puting the Batt in, in between each wire connection. I then went for the last wire wich is White/Black to KA Red and everything came on.....I believe that is supposed to be the ECU Memory, and i cant hook it up. With out it hooked up the FP comes on with the Key,as does the ECU. IDk any help would be apriciated. I am gonna try swapping out my ecu, I have the Auto ecu in it now so im gonna try the manual.

Hmmm Not too many wires involed with the RB20 into S13 swap. Might be a problem with car harness not the engine harness. I haven't done the RB20 to S13 in many moons or I would rattle something off the top of my head.

You have the white purple wire on constant power.

Should be on switched ignition power.

I wil bet thats your problem.

Oh and to make it fun my harness had one of the green relays pinned wrong for some reason or another, after I fixed the same issue your having it wasn't switching the coils on.
