Car: Bagged ford courier 1988 with rb20det

Post

Hi Guys, names James if from new zealand and im in the process of finishing of my 1988 ford courier with an rb20de+t in it. I origionally put an sr20det into it but then decided to put the rb in it. I had the wiring all sorted and had two relays the ecu and the fuel pump. it looked very simple on how the sr was wired in only using a couple of wires. Would anyone be able to help me out to which wires i use to go into the ecu relay etc and if i join them all up and connect them or put them seperatly in different places to be wired. below i have added a pic of the ute and engine, and the second pic is how the ute was wired up with the sr. the wires are only labled as colour not for what they are.
This would be much appreciated for the help as i have been trying to wire it up for a few weeks now.
Thanks Heaps
James

If all the harness is together you only really need power, ground, and ignition to make it work. Since a relay is just a switch, it just lets a small amount of current control a large amount of current.

To run we need air, fuel and spark.

I really don't know that much about the 20, but the 26 has a 6 pin main power relay that I have had some issues with in the past. On a Skyline GT-R its in the kickpanel on the left side floorboard.

This link has a lot of the wiring diagrams and manuals in it. http://www.paulr33.com/

One time I wired up an RB26 in a Mustang.
