rb20det driveshaft

I purchased a s13 with a RB20DET already installed and I noticed that I was getting a transmission leak between the transmission and the driveshaft - I can actually visualize the rear transmission seal. IS there a difference in lengths between the auto and 5speed driveshafts? I think I have the auto driveshaft in the car which might be causing the gap.

the auto drive shaft will NOT fit a manual trans, the gap is 'normal' if the r32 xmember was used...
