I'm new to this engine so not really sure what's up.

If the car is left to idle , it will just slowly die out.I just replaced the fuel pump, and after that it would idle at 600-650, but then after i started driving it, it stopped.

On rare occasions when its sitting idling it will rev to 2000, come back down, rev to 2000 in a consistent rhythmical pattern.

I'm trying to get this car to idle normally..

only mods are 3" turboback and FMIC

It has a maf blow thru, perhaps that could cause an issue. What should i be looking at. IT has new spark plugs.Maybe the MAf blow through or coil packs or what would cause this

i was also thinking maybe if I install a new FPR that could fix it, but i had this problem before i installed the new fuel pump

Check the tps sensor first, just search, ull find info on it. Then if you have a 255 fuel pump or upgraded pump, you need to get that fpr on there and adjust it. Clean the aac

Reset the ecu and check all other connections.

thanks that's an awesome article. I'll do that next week see how it goes. If that works out i can just stick on a Nismo FPR and hope that my idle and fuel issues resolve themselves

tps is set wrong.reset the tps so the idle switch is engaged and the problem should vanish.

i tried searching and didnt find anything about resetting the TPS.

Today i cleaned the maf (it was drenched with dark oil or something from previous owner wtf? but i completely cleaned it out.

I also cleaned out the AAC and followed the article and it definitely helped, but didnt fix the problem. The car will idle now, but not below 1000 and very rarely below 900. It still dies, or revs up for no reason. I am thinking the TPS is fried, but can i just reset it? otherwise where's a good place to get a new one>?
