I swaped a rb20det in to my 280z a few weeks ago and I was driving to work and it just cut off. I tried to restart it and it wouldn't restart. I had it towed back to my house and tried to restart it and it started on the first try.I have been trying to get it to do it again but no luck. I was thinking it could be the igniter. What do you guys think?

thanks

More info por favor. Is it still getting fuel? Spark? Was it running rich or lean before? Test all sensors? Timing ok? Timing belt snapped? Leaking anything?

I have had a fuel pump die and cause this, I fried an ecu once and it did this. One time I overevved my supra and it skipped timing, it wouldnot run until I got the timing straight.

Check ur CAS, if it went out then u wont have any spark. Thats a known rb problem, trust me it took me forever to figure it out when mine went bad. Might be the the ignitor, but check the CAS first.

Are you using the stock 280z fuel pump. If so get that old turd replaced. Most of the time a fuel pump will lock up and when it gets towed it will be free up just like in your case. I would say it is either the fuel pump or the wiring for the fuel pump.
