howsit guys i got a r32 gtst with rb20det all it has is a chiped ecu,3 inch straight thru exhaust,a 38mm wastegate with screamer pipe and a ssqv bov and a pod filter..it only runs 10 psi boost..last night was the first time it started doing it..if u have WOT it pulls hard till bout 5500 rpm but maybe closer to 6000 rpm and then the wastegate just goes silent (it shuts) and i loose all power and even if foot it still flat down it does nothing and wen u let it off it then blow off valves and wen u leave ur foot off it it comes right again (as if its fuel cutting and the injectors are off????)..i found this out as i went to lay a skid in it and soon as i hooked 2nd and let it rip it cut out then done some pulls and its very consistent at the same rpms..

anyone had this problem before?? it never did it before yesterday...it doesnt miss or detonate or nething so its really wierd?? is it tapping out the air flow meter cos its cold night time??

Is it missing a/some cylinder(s) or is it loosing all power as in the car might as well be at idle or off?

na its not misfiring on a cylinder it just cuts all power off (as if its fuel cutting and turning all the injectors off as it looses power instantly)...it runs fine untill it cuts out it doesnt hesitate or miss or det or nething

My Rb20 swap always cut fuel after long pulls, but in 3,4,5. Turns out the sensors on the transmission were bad and the ecu didn't know it was in gear. And if it thinks its in neutral, and being heavily loaded for long periods of time, it will cut fuel.

I reconnected my transmission sensors and it should be back to normal next time its in.

I've also heard of the intake boot collapsing and choking air to the turbo, but that's really rare. But worth a look.

yea it seems wierd.....it only cuts during night time???

i wana know how it could be boost cutting at 10psi tho?? its fuel cutting and turning the injectors off......i wouldnt think it would be anything to do with the trans??? or does the manual (mine is factory manual) hav a neutral switch???
