ok- let me explain how im doing the piping ( close to being done) i have a custom fmic - iv seen others running there piping from the intak manifold along the front of motor- was thinking of going that way but after talking with my buddy we cam out with this-- using some of the stock r32 smic and piping - 8 feet of piping- fmicoff of the passenger side of the intercooler im doing a 180 off of the end -thow my bumper support ( bumper support was trimed out to fit the 2 1/2 piping and over the intercooler to fit nice and tight-- off of the 180 bend there is a slight angle / - reason being that the left blinker can into effect added that slight angle to fit perfect-- driver side I used one of the stock r32 piping , works perfect almost fits like it was ment to go there (lol)alitle more left to do will post pictures asap - if anybody has some info or suggestions let me know -

or people can stop being tards and get an intercooler with inlet & outlet on the same side. like this.

pics of your setup?

also, you are increasing the total volume of your intercooler setup after the turbo. this = bad. pressure drop galour. boost laggier than it ever should be. that sort of stuff. yes its hiding things, no it's not smart. sorry for my bluntness... i'm tired.

i hate the way those look though. ive seen them a billion times on DSM's. you can always see the piping hanging below the bumper or something. the look alone is a HUGE turn off for me.

i guess im a tard though. i have a greddy fmic. oh right, and a greddy IM too.

no, im refering to a same side FMIC, i dont see why more people dont do it when you can keep to stock side mount pipes and it takes only about 2 more feet of piping to reach the front. where as a cross over pipe is at least 4 more than that, if not more.. to each their own after all, less pipes.. less lag.. more response.

so basically, since im running a greddy IM and a greddy FMIC, this really doesnt apply to me?

but i see what you are saying for sure. i just hate the look personally.

you would be correct, we are just talking about when the stock IM is still in place, personally id like to have the greddy IM but its not exactly cheap, and since my turbos stock id rather hold off till my car exceeds 400bhp and the stocker gets too ristrictive... till then, id rather not. ha im installing my FMIC this weekend ill post pics of it, im curious to see how it will look...
