wassup guys, *long time reader, first time poster*

I've gotten a lot of help reading the forums and the helpful replies that many of you have given to the much needed questions to be answered. hopefully someone can help me with my issue, so here it is.

When I start the car in the morning it starts right up but then begins to bog as soon as it fires up. I usually have to flutter the throttle for a bit for it to stay idle and then it seems to run fine. Once the rb is warm, about 5 minutes of driving, it idles just fine and pulls perfect! I was told it could be that the TPS is misadjusted but rechecked it and it is set correctly. Once the car is turned off and then restarted, the same problem, sometimes needed to crank longer than usual for it to start. If it is the TPS sensor that's not working or something, does anyone know where i could buy the sensor new??

I have 255lph Walbro and a SARD fuel pressure regulator if that helps with anything. Help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Do you have the engine_cranking signal hooked up to the ecm? On the S13 it is on the connector under the dash near the ecm and glove box, orange wire. Goes to the P connector, near the ecm and fuel relays, the connector is labeled P in the R32 factory service manual. I think the FSM shows it as a B/Y wire but mine was a Y/L (yellow/blue) wire.

hey it sounds like your IACV is clogged or something.I have the same problem with my altima. The ECU says its the IACV problemI've been too lazy to change it though.

Why don't you take it off clean it and try it again.Have you tried pulling the codes from the ECU??

wuttup sil, thx for the reply! I've checked the codes and doesn't give an error code. IACV problem?? are you talking about cleaning the AAC on the rb20??? I'm planning on doing that tomorrow, i've heard that being a problem with idle but i dont know if it affects start ups. We'll see, i'll keep it posted. Let me know if anything else could be causing this problem guys, thanks!

Take off the Aac at the back of the intake mani and clean it out. There is also a valve between the head and intake mani around the fuel rail that needs cleaning. With my car, that valve, the spring had ocme loose so the car was idling at 1,800rpms. Worth a shot and good maintenence even if it isnt the problem.

Also, have you tuned your fpr with a gauge so that you know you have the correct pressure?

Hey cpt, thx for the reply.Fuel pressure is set at 43psi and i will be doing the maintence on the AAC tomorrow. I'll also try to look for the valve that you are talking about around the fuel rail and give it a good cleaning to see if that takes car of my problem, i hope. I'll keep you posted!!! Thanks for the reply's!

Thanks Carl for the reply!

Well, you were partially right!! The idle switch WAS out of adjustment! Fixed that, adjusted correctly, idles better. But for some reason it's still bogging down when i start it. When it warms up, it seems to idle just fine. I wonder if i have to reset the ECU, i'm gonna go do that right now. Thanks for the help guys, keep um coming! Hope to fix this sooner than later!.
