was driving my r32 rb20det gts4 the other day and put my foot down to give it some s*** and i hurd a bang bang noise so i backed off, then it started running like s*** so i took the cam angle sensor out and found the peice what goes into the cam had snaped off clean at the sensor end. cool replace cam angle sensor yeh? did that and still ran like s*** so i took it back out and found that the half round peice in the cam end had snaped off, but there is still a spline on ther for the cam angle sensor to bolt to so aslong asi have it on the right peice it shoud be sweet right? done that and got it running mint as so i took it for a drive down the round and it went bang bang again and ran like s*** so i took it home, got it running mint again in the driveway then it just started to runlike s***. does anyone have any idea as to why its doing this? im stumpd. has no power down low ether (cant get up steep hills) please can some one help.

yes broke off on the exhaust cam, but it has a star shape aswel as the half moon (i hurd thats just for correct positioning?) and if u get the star lined up wouldnt it work ? had it running mint like that but then done it again.. or do you think its skiping round the star as it hits high revs? therefore i need the half moon bit??

your cas has 3 ten mm head bolts that hold it to the cas bracket on the front of the ext cam, there should be 3 washers that bolt inbetween the cas and cas bracket that space the cas from the cas bracket

yeh there in there. do you think that not having the half moon peice will cause it to jump around the star peice at high revs?? thatwould cause that problem if its posible.?
