So I know this is around a few sites on how to build up the RB20DET but I want answers without days of searching. I have an S14 with the RB20 swap and I want to put down max power to the wheels. I read the stock internals can hold 400 horse so thats roughly 320 to 350rwhp. This is what I want. So I'm curious what others have done to achieve these numbers with stock internals. I would like a detailed parts list and not a note that says "This has been done check other sites." A link to that site would be nice cause it gets crazy searching these sites.

Thank you,govtworkhorse

For 400 hp on Rb20det.

1.) Search for all threads by Carl H.

sorry... Ok.. here's a simple basic guide.

Let it breath... 1.) Custom or aftermarket downpipe and at least 3" catback exhaust and ditch the cat too. 2.) T3/T4 turbo or comparable. 3.) FMIC 4.) Boost controller5.) Blow off valve.

Give it fuel1.) Walbro or other upgrade fuel pump2.) upgrade fuel filter3.) 550cc top feed fuel injectors (or bigger)

Manage it. 1.) Z32 or Q45 MAF2.) Engine management or chipped ECU.

Safety.. Crank Collar mod for proper oil pump function.

I'm sure I'm missing a few things.. but that should be a decent basic guide.

You'd be wise to spend a lot of time researching. (like I said.. see Carl H)

for an honest 400whp you'll need at least 600cc injectors to keep duty cycle under 80%.z32 maf is the best bet as q45 is a touch overkill for most ppl
