rb20det bad gears, what are my options trans wise?

SO i bought a drop in rb20 swap but was told that 1/2 gear took finesse, figuring it probably needing a set of syncros i tore into the trans. Well I found at least one broken gear and a broken shift arm. So the question is what are my options for a transmission. Theres tons of information but not all of it agrees. So what are my options are my options as far as getting my car up and running?

I'm pretty sure you can bolt the rb20 bellhousing onto a KA gearbox and it's a perfect fit. Like, mechanically identical, too.
