RB20DET and 1990 S13 240sx harness wiring

Hello everyone. This is my first post but i have been reading alot of stuff in this forum. I kno its my first post as well as my first thread but i really have lots of questions regarding help with my conversion. I bougth and complete engine set of an rb20det and i have a 1990 240sx se with a sohc ka24de and i have already done the conversion ( exchanged engines as well as re inforce the chassy ) now i am having a hard time wiring the harness i have both harnesses and i have read all the notes , hints and theads regarding this as well as i have read about companies and different persons that do this but im a true enthusiast and i believe im capable of achieving this all i need its some more help. Ive been looking ,collecting and printing wiring diagrams installation guides but the sadly lead me no were wince the guides most of the times are writen in a specific to different cars maners please if anyone could share some information i would be really happy thank you and please help me get my conversion done because the car has been in my shop for the last month for the small amount of information i have about this engine and wiring .

And since you have a sohc ka24e (not de, the d refers to dual overhead cam) you should be referring to skillzilla's write-up, after thoroughly reading that please then ask more of a specific question, like: "what wire off the rb harness goes to the IGN Relay?" we can help only if you let us know the specific problem...

i went through the whole thing and the bad thing its that i tried following with no succes since his specifications of certain parts of the harness are specific and for some reason do not match my harness i belive some sockets from it were cut and since he did not specify what the cables were for or the color or ecu pin out number i had alot of things i wasnt sure about. thank you though i think i migth just split open the whole harness open and c what is for what .Thank you

When doing the wiring for my swap, RB20DET manual into 1990 S13 SE automatic KA24E, I gathered all the guides and howtos. But none are comprehensive, nor complete. So I double and triple checked wiring diagrams for both the R32 and S13, and completely disassembled the skyline harnesses I wasn't using. Which helped trace where and what wires connected to. I did have the complete clip, and having the chassis harness helped. I also had to search forums to figure out a few wiring connections, believe Skillzilla had to hook up the engine cranking signal to the RB ecm, which is described in this forum but not in his write-up (not discrediting his write-up or singling it out, just an example).

The engine cranking signal is the OR wire in the S13 gauge connector, under the dash to the right of the glove box. It needs to be connected to connector P of the R32 ECCS harness, one of the three connectors by the two relays really close to the ecm itself. It has 7-pins across and the engine cranking signal needs to be connected to the B/Y wire.

I am actually in the process of documenting all the wiring that I did to get my car running, by connector, wire color and function of the wire. Sorry I don't have it done to help you out though.

my old archaic guide will get the car running...not sure which version is up there as i did update it a while back.sorry i cant give specifics about wiring...its how i make my money.

hey guys thanks alot for your help well what im doing now its searching a lil more for diagrams and things like that so i can get that rb running i hate to see it sitting on my garage well thank you and if you could please send me ur guide even if its not finished to [email protected] i would apreaciate it thanks alot

hello guys hey sry im reviving this tread but i need some help im currently wiring my harness from the s13 to the rb20det now i runned into a problem this mornign i was making the o2 sensors longer and the thing its that i cut the 2 ligth brown cables with out checking if the cables had stripes or differences now that im welding them back i realized they both look the same and dont know witch one has to go were . plz any help would be areaciated and if anyone has any pictures of the 8 and 6 pin cables the conversion guides talk about i would be thank full..thanks 4 any help Steve.

Do you happen to have the R32 dash plug pinouts??? I'm also swapping my RB20 with a RB25det S2
