Hey Dude, I just want you to know that the uild is looking great. I was thinking about putting a V8 my junk HB. After looking at your build, I don't think I am going to attempt that at all. If you had that many problems come up putting in that 240 motor. No thanks, I'll just use my juk for parts. I can't wait to see the finished project.

You might be camping out for a few months.. I don't do cold weather and this winter is dropping to the 20's and 30's with wind chill in the 10's, so I am not gonna be working on it except the rare day that hits up to the 50's MINIMUM..

I atleast wanted to post up some videos on photobucket but I broke one of the welds on my exhaust when I was doing some "testing" (burnouts)..lol Too much torque from one wheel (open differential) mixed with a weak spot in the exhaust job??

Anyone know where I can find a canadian LSD from a hardbody?? They did have LSD in the canadian hardbodies, right??

Just read the whole thread, very cool project man, I started a RB25DET project for my 240 that never got finished. Props to lots of hard work.

for the LSD you need to find a pathfinder with the H223b axle and it should have an orange sticker on the diff... you could either try the linked suspension.. or shave the axle and grab a set of leafs and stuff from a 4x4 Hardbody...

Also if you have the H190 axle they make a locker for it... check out 4x4parts.com

The build is awesome, just wondering how long it took you to finish it?

It will ALWAYS be a work-in-progress. I still feel like there is some stock power I am missing so I am working on "retuning" it....maybe it is just the hardbody open differential's gearing that makes it feel like it is lacking some power I felt in the old 240....i dunno...still working on it.

I work on it every couple of weeks and try to finish something I already started AND start a new idea. I now have 3" lowering blocks in the back and I cranked the torsion bars as low as I should in the front. I have finished wiring in my Datascan port, Alpine indash screen, and a dedicated laptop (with a power inverter to keep it charged). The laptop is wired for audio/video input to the Alpine flipout so I can see/hear datascan, music videos, and movies on the Alpine from the laptop...very nice setup for roadtrips.

My plans for this summer are (in no particular order):
--dark grey primer
--new radiator
--better tuning
--anything I can find that will give me some more easy power or faster spooling??
--DEFINITELY an upgraded pump (already have one..just gotta put it in and see how much more power it makes???)

and of course...I am pondering the idea of a completely custom rear end/suspension. I am thinking about bagging the truck, notching the rear frame, and using the R32 VLSD rear end and axles (that I saved from the 240)....would just have to get 240 rotor/brake swap to bolt up to the VLSD axles???? :D I will keep dreaming about that idea for a while....

Hey how are you. im new here and wasnt to sure about what post to get ahold of you on s im trying this one. i hope it isnt to much to ask if i can get your number or txt me at 967-4126 or just post the info and pics on here.

The reason i rather do it by txt is because i rarely get on here and i really wanna get my RB in my truck running.

I have a 1991 nissan hardbody that was originaly a 5 speed ka. IT came with the whole engine harness and ECU. I have already swaped my oil pressure and trans sensors over so my original ka lower harness bolts up exactly. but im having trouble with everything after that.

I know how much of a pain it was and im sure you wouldnt like explaining it all in better detail but i would Reallllllllly appreceiate it and you can pm me on here if this site has that. 1-618-967-4126 is my number again if your having trouble. I can send you pics if you need them. Im really ready to get mine running.
