first off, i have a 95 240sx with an rb20 in it. i had some serious overheating problems with it. i narrowed it do to a blown HG. i just got the motor all back together after putting a cometic MLS HG on it. i also replaced the water pump, timing belt, idler, tensioner and spring. i went to crank it up and it started after about 10 secs of cranking. it idled like dog**** for about 10 seconds and them shut off. when i cranked it after that it wouldn't start. it sounds like it really wants to, but it doesn't. i double and triple checked my timing, so i know its not that. fuel pressure is normal and injectors are clicking when i turn to CAS. i tested for spark and all is good there. MAF is brand new and worked fine before the motor pull. what else could it be that i might be overlooking? any help would be really appreciated.

so far i have pretty much been talking to myself but i am really hoping the rb gods will hear me soon. i just put everything back together with the new plugs and it started but once again ran like ****, i mean it sounds absolutely horrible. so i shut it off and checked my codes again. now its throwing a 21 code. internet says its ignition signal circuit. alright rb gods, GO!

is there any possible way to have the marks on the crank gear and cam gears perfectly lined up and still be off on timing?
