So I'm trying to hook up my stock S13 tach (it's a 91 so it's a dohc tach) to work with my RB20. I found some info on this thread... zerothread/55405 but I'm kinda confused

Does anyone know if I'm supposed to wire up the 10k resistor to the yellow/red wire that goes to pin 7 of the ECU? I assume that isn't right because I already tried that with zero luck.

Any help would be appreciated

I had the same problem but try this, clip off the yellow/red wire on the gauge plug and get another wire, from that plug to the ecu and see if it works (make sure the wire that you pluged off does not touch the other wire). I'm pretty sure you only need to use a 10k resister if you are pluging up an aftermarket gauge....
