so I'm doing my rb20 swap on my sohc 240 and all the wiring guides etc.. say to locate the 6 and 8 plug like so..

Locate the 6 and 8 wire connectors on the engine bay harness; they are big, gray, and quite square. Clip these back from the harness as far back as you can preferably about 20 inches, you will have to unsheathe/unwrap the harness to do so.-Carl H

now i can find the 6 plug but where is the 8 plug located i cant find it? what does it go to, Ive searched and I cant even find a picture of what it looks like. Any help would greatly be appreciated any one got pictures or detailed instruction to find this plug.

8 wire plug is only aplicable if you're using the rb lower harness.

ka is the norm now, oil pressure swap and extend the starter trigger and it should be mint.just swap sensors with the ka trans and go.

ok i bought my 89 240sx with no engine or trans and i think it only has the upper harness. so would i have to source a KA lower harness or what would i have to do to use the RB lower harness and make it work with everything else? Thanks.

OT but this thread reminded me...

Is the stock RB20 oil pressure sensor only wired to the dash light? Or does the ECU use the signal and take action when the pressure is below a threshold (retard timing or kill the engine, etc)? My understanding was the oil pressure sensor/wiring only illuminates the light on the dash, the sensor is an on/off pressure switch precalibrated to ground when over a certain PSI..

I want to eliminate the stock OPS from my 20 if this is all it does, plus it leaks and its one less wiring thing I'll have to worry about. Running an aftermarket OP gauge.
