rb20 will not idle unless

please help i have had this car for a year now car will not idle unless you cover half of the mafs opening up with your hand. not running stock turbo i am running a 240zx turbo that was sent to turbonetics and honed out not sure on specs.

What's your full setup (engine related only)?

sorry got a little ahead of my self rb20det walboro 255 everything else is stock except turbo. front mount intercooler with three inch pipe in and out

How old is your fuel filter?

Kind of sounds like it might be running lean at idle if less air helps...

Any gauges in the car?

Has it done this the whole time you owned the car?

brand new fuel filter. no it use to idle then the 75 amp alternatore fuse burnt and took out a resistore in the ecu i got another ecu same problem. some one said it could be a leak in the intercooler pipeing. care smells rich when running. have boost /vac gauge temp gauge no a/f gauge

does any body know why the car would idle with out any intercooler pipeing hooked up
