Would be better to get a HKS or Garrett adjustable actuator, as you can get the turbo to spool up earlier and increase boost level by adjusting the actuator arm. But don't overtighten, as it can shorten the lifespan of the actuator.

If you want good boost control, most weld a external wastegate pipe + flange to stock manifold (before collector, which is part before manifold to turbo flange) and fit I think was a 38mm?? external wastegate.

Yes, it can be done. simple bolt-on. Should take no longer than 3-4 minutes to install. It raises the wastegate opening pressure from 0.5 bar (stock 25) to 0.7 bar.
