So, I noticed today a label on my wiring harness that says Rb25S13, which makes me think the previous owner got a pre-made wiring harness. Problem is, this is an RB20, not an RB25. Can anyone tell me what the differences are?

Looking at the ECU pinouts, it looks like pins 112 and 114 (injectors 4 and 6) should be switched, and that pin 57 on the RB20 is throttle valve switch power supply vs Rb25 exhaust temperature sensor signal.

There are other things that I'm not sure on, for instance on the wiring harness just above the injectors there is a resistor plugged in. Could that be something that I shouldn't have.

Anyway, I inherited this car as a project. It's running lean and I'm trying to get it running right. Thinking this may have something to do with it.

Thanks,
Rob

Does it run currently? If it was running lean those wires for the injectors seem like a good suspect. I would assume if some one did the wiring for that harness to work (throttle valve switch and o2 must of been fixed if it runs decent)

I'm no master of wiring on either motor so hopefully this BUMP will help get you some better answers

Thanks man. I called Wiring Specialties, which I'm pretty sure is where this wiring harness is from. They told me that it might have been labeled wrong, and told me how to check. So, I'm going to go look into that. This engine is getting confusing. I'm just gonna keep plugging away though...
