Ok guys after 2 1/2 years of daily spirited driving my rb20 is down. i was thinkin about stroking it to a 2.4 liter or even a 2.2 what are your suggestions. my rb20 is stock but i want a little more power maybe 300 hp. what do you think.

i think for 300 stroking it is overkill.

good size turbo, injectors and management system can probably get you there

a large turbo will take you to 300 hp no problems.if you have to tear down the motor then consider forged pistons with a ballanced bottom end.as far as stroking and boring, an rb24 is expensive to pull off and the rb22 is just a larger overbore.if you want to spool a bigger turbo faster consider the rb22 option with a decently sized turbo.

Dont forget the head. I woudn't worry about 2.2's and 2.4's Id get that head massaged to flow alot better than it dose right now.

300 bhp can be made with the addition of an FMIC and better turbo. No other mods needed.

But since you're taking it apart ... I wouldn't worry about stroking (too much $$$ when you could just buy a 25), but I would bump up the compression to more like 9:1 since you'll probably be getting pistons anyway. Open up the ports and put in stiffer springs. And get the crank/rods balanced. That shouldn't cost too much.

The RB20's strength is that it revs high. Make it rev even higher with a little more compression, some head work, and a better turbo. That would be fun. Not a huge hp beast, but with a wide power band it would be really fun and great sounding.

You might think about using an R33 RB25 Turbo, you would get some good hp and torque gains and I'm sure you could find one for pretty cheap. Its a nice upgrade that doesn't require a lot of work or supporting upgrades.

im actually getting an RB20 swapped 240 in a few days and was wondering if the 440cc injectors from the Supra would be a direct bolt on? I have searched around and cannot find any information on it. I was thinking Front Mount w/ a slightly bigger turbo, 440cc injectors(I have an extra 6 lying around) and a FMIC would be a decent HP bump?

CarlH has done the 550cc injectors from the 7MGT. You will prob need resistors becuause the Nissan is High Impedance and I think the Supras are Low impedance injectors. What are you going to control the fuel with? A better turbo than the stock unit would be great since it blows anyway. Ohh and a FMIC would be a good idea. The stock interheater gets hot after a few good passes.

We need some background first... why is it down? What mods do you already have (going by the pic you have some mods)? What's your budget?

I agree... 2.2 or a 2.4L is overkill for 300hp... but let's start with the current problem (why it's down)... then the budget.
