I purchased a cheap s14 200sx, it is an australian market model.Has some accident damage and the previous owner had removed and sold the original sr20det, gearbox, wheels and diff.

Plan is to fix it up and convert it to RB20 twin turbo!

I'll get some better photos of the car later, but you get the idea. Nothing special.

Pfft. Silly Aussies. Everybody knows RB20's are SINGLE TURBO!!!Good job at the Photoshop.

</sarcasm>

Good job man! I had always wondered about going twins. I'm interested in seeing the 'front' exhaust flange that had to be modified.

BTW, what intake manifold is that?

That intake manifold looks to be an RB26 intake manifold chopped and welded onto the RB20's runners + welded on TB flange.

I too would like to see more of the manifold flanges. This looks interesting.

Sweet setup. As asked before me, what engine management are you going to use?

seems like a whole lot of posing for no reason. You had a perfectly large turbo and went to a less effecient setup. RB25 covers.... If your going to do a Twin atleast do a 25 not a 20....

Yeah there will always be f*** on the boards.

I have to say job well done sir and I would like to see the mods/cutting welding you did for the manifold to slide on there, and of course what we all wanna know is what the curve will look like on a dyno and where the boost comes on and such.

Congrats.

Ok, i got some more photos of the exhaust manifolds. I am pretty sure i have some photos of them off the engine but i can't seem to find them now.

I just want to say that i can't take credit for the fabrication as i couldn't weld to save my life.

Here is a gtr head, notice the exhaust stud pattern.

This is the standard rb20 head showing the 2 flanges that need to be changed.

This is the rear manifold, the middle runner (exhaust port 5) has the modified flange. You can see the original part of the flange remains with the unused stud holes.

Here is a better shot showing the extra tab welded on to the standard flange.

This is the best shot i can get of it on the car for now.

This is the front manifold with the same modification done to the number 3 exhaust runner flange.

Then i got inspired to see how many different coil pack covers i could pose with. First up i downgraded to a hr31 redtop nics rb20 cover made from sturdy cast alloy. Stay tuned to see what else shows up!

You can get them to fit in the S14's you just have to cut a little and drill a few holes.

I take this is the same RB20 that made like 377kw?

TSL - which i assume is the speed lab... got a quick q for ya, when running tuned ecus even if the o2 feedback flags are turned off you still have to run the stock o2 sensor or some kind of signal to the ecu correct?i get some nasty hesitation on tipin somtimes going from part to full throttle even tho the tune is good, but whats weird is that it isnt consistent somtimes it will do it all day and others never a hitch...only thing i can trace it back to is the o2 correct?this is the onlything i can think would do it as other cars i have tuned that have retained stock o2 sensors along side a wideband o2 dont do this.
