i've searched! and founds lots of info and people with SR20 T25/T28 turbos on their KA-T setup, but i havent really found anything on people using RB series turbos on their KA-T.... are there any particular reasons for this?... i know SR parts are easier to find than RB

i plan on a mild setup pushing no more than 7psi, i can get my hands on a RB20 T3(i think?) turbo for a very good price with lines, downpipe and all... for the roughly the same price i can get the same stuff for an Blacktop SR20 T25

which would be best?

FEW PEOPLE RUN THEM . i r un r32 t3 , another guy runs r33 one,

r32 has cermaic exhaust wheel , while r33 uses metal .

i had same options as u and went with rb20 cuz of t3 flange , easier to upgrade to any other t3/4 afterwards. boost is adicctive

with sr u can only run t28/25 flange. etc

t28 outta sr flows abit more than r32/33 i think thow not too sure

If you're going to spend the money to do a t3 setup, the R3X turbos are NOT the ones to buy. They are comparable in size to t28s, as is the power you should expect from them. HOWEVER, they are far more fragile than T2X turbos because of the mentioned ceramic wheel, which likes to fragment at higher boost levels.

I'd go with the SR t25, or if possible, the t28 from an s14 or 15

thanks for all the info and help, im still debating... i've heard of how addictive boost can be, but i think i can refrain myself not to go boost happy and stay at or below 7psi or else it will cost me!

i've heard of some T3 flange "adapters" that you can bolt up to a T25/T28 so you can use a T3 flange instead i can get my hands on a blacktop SR T25 turbo for $160CDN with lines and all.. no shaftplayi can also get an RB20 for the same deal, i know the RB20 is a little older but both claim to have no shaftplay so i dont think age would matter too much

ill keep you guys posted!

RB25DET's have ceramic turbines, and some have a plastic compressor wheel.
