Tearing down my motor and just looking at the exhaust housing on turbo. I noticed it says HKS is that normal? I know the Cold compressor side is rb20 cause its have 16v on it. I will post pics later.

Are you sure that your looking at the Exhaust housing or the Turbo outlet?

You might have a HKS turbo outlet on a stock turbo.

Or.... for a stretch.Whoever had the motor before you rebuilt the turbo using a hks turbine and internals, and bored out the Compressor housing.But.... that's a lot of work for a small turbo.

Here are some pics. i think oil seal are bad. i turned my motor upside down there was still oil in it and i think it came through oil return on turbo and came through the t3 flange. there was no shaft play though only small in and out not side to side.

i also spent 2 hour trying to get gear off but still no good ;/ tried the bolt trick and all.

DEFINETLY NOT STOCK!!!Do you have the Turbo outlet for this??

Can't tell too well from the Compressor, but if it says Nissan on it.It also looks like the inlet of the compressor has some kinda bolt on piece?????It is what I did say some kind of HKS/RB20 hybrid turbo. You probably have steel wheels in there.I assume they machined out the compressor and put that bolt on piece in there.

GOOD luck with getting that timing gear off.I had a beyatch of a time getting it off.Use lots of penetrating lube maybe it'll help.

if your replacing your oil pump and not worrying about breaking it. soak that gear w pb blaster for a hour or so and slide a pry bar under either side of the gear and beat the shart out the pry bars so itll pop out
