I already used the search feature and couldn't find it. What is the efficiency range of the RB20s T28 turbo? I've heard 13psi, 15psi, and 20psi. Which is it?~TonyBTW-almost done...

well first it's a more T3 than T28, never run it past .9 kilo, they spit up their guts. At that boost they can support 250 to the wheels.

Well, as usual, I disagree.I'd say 14.7 or I bar is fine for the RB20 turbines. I ran mine at that and over for 1 1/2 years. No problems...

I guess safe and long lasting would be lower. But you can get a rebuild or upgrade for so cheap nowadays....

I figure in for boost spikes and have an innate distrust of ceramic turbos. You also had a big FMIC which puts less stress on the turbo than my OE sidemount.

Gonna have to agree with both here... 1 bar is done with supporting mods and a little less without the supporting mods.

I've got a decent sized searco FMIC, Profec B, and an SAFC2. I plan on upgrading to the VG30DET (not TT) turbo soon. Does anyone know the efficiency of that turbo?

is the single turbo skyline motor as good as the twin turbo? (i mean does it have good potential?) ans how much does the single turbo motor weigh?? how easier to install a sr20 or a rb?

sorry bro...try to ask questions that pertain to the original thread topic....but i'll answer this one...the RB's go in order as far as which one has the most potential...obviously the twin turbo RB26DETT is the best. But the other 2 are nice upgrades...

It's similar to a garrett T3 but Nissan makes it and it is at best adequate. A nice genuine garrett T3/T4 hybrid would be a great upgrade.

now when you say "efficiency range " what do you mean?? Do you mean where the turbo is most efficent at or what psi the turbo will support without blowing itself up??

I also ordered a Blitz SBC-ID instead of the profec b. How much (US) would a T3/T4 be and where could I find one for a decent price?

if it is anything like the T28 on on the DSMs then you can run 20 psi and it will last for quite awhile.
