RB20 Trouble starting

Hey guys looking for some help on diagnosing my current issue.

S13 w/ RB20.

when attempting to start, it takes about 3-4 minutes of cranking, then stopping, while off pushing the gas pedal opening the throttle plate. then it will start to catch and eventually start, shooting a cloud of black smoke out the exhaust.

once running, after about 2-3 min of idling, its sounds as though 1 cylinder misses every 10-15 sec. just a slight poof sound, like a stutter. (sorry i know its hard to describe a sound in text).

rev and drive the car, runs fine. Turn it off, go to start, cranks right up. Only when it sits for over an hour does it become hard to start again.

Also once running, when you turn the ignition off and pull out the key, car will still run "diesel" for 5-10 sec.

CAS is set with buts centered, haven't had a chance to throw a timing gun on yet.

My initial feeling is a possibly leaky injector.

any additional input would be greatly appreciated guys.

with respect to the car running after you pop the key out. are you running E-fans if so how are they wired?

Do have E fans, ground to the cassis, power comes to a switch on dash, but switch is not connected to power source at the moment.

mine takes a minute to start cold as well. think its cause i dont have a 12v constant to the computer. when i tried to wire it with the constant 12v it would back feed to the dash..

without that maybe it doesnt know that its being started and not running.

have that same miss sound to at idle, my coils work. i think its the ignitor.

hmmm yeah i don't have my cold start wired either.
