I've been hunting down an oil leak since day one and I think I've finally found it. After re-replacing all of the gaskets I could have possibly thought oil was coming from- it looks like its the front seal of the transmission. I pulled the boot around the throw out bearing arm and it was all oily inside the bell housing. Are the ka seals a match?

If it is oil it wouldnt be coming from the transmission. Are u sure its not a rear main seal leak?

Gear oil and 15w50 look a lot a like when you can't smell the difference. I've checked the oil level for a week since I replaced the copper gaskets on my turbo feed and the half circle seals for the valve cover and its the same ever time. If it was the rear main I'd be kinda pissed, I replaced that when I was preping the engine.

Oh werd, it might be your transmission seal then, but every transmission I have ever pulled has black ish all over the inside of the bell housing. But, rear main seal sux, I have a leak there and Im so over fixing it

I knew I should have done the trans seals, it had alot of black inside the bell housing. I thought it was from the old clutch since mine had a new oem clutch when I took it apart. I bet they had the clutch replaced because it got oil soked and didn't do the seal.
