Hey guys,

After a very, very long 5 year break from the 240, I'm trying to get it on the road again. Sadly it has been sitting with little attention from me. The car did crank and run with a massively high idle. Pulled all of the intercooler piping and found a massive hole in a coupler. Working on swapping a Quest alternator at the moment but I think I've got that under control.

Anyway.. on to my question. I am trying to set the TPS to the correct voltage and through some research, I am reading that the plug directly on the TPS should have 3 wires running to it. Mine only has 2. One in the upper spot, and one in the middle. Is this correct? I've had this engine since 2004 and it has always been this way. I certainly have not changed the wiring. Here is a picture:

Nice to talk to you guys again and thanks in advance for any advice!

just set the tps so the two pins have continuity with the tps closed and breaks when the tb is opened.
trying to set tps via signal voltage never seem to work correctly.

Thanks Carl. Really glad to see you around here still.

I messed with this more today (before seeing your post) and set the voltage to .48v closed throttle. At WOT it jumped up to 4.2v. I will check it again tomorrow based on your advice. Thanks again
