Ok, well I did a lot of searching, but couldn't find anything.

So, I bought an Auto Meter water temp gauge so I can monitor the temperature of the motor. The thing is, the temperature gauge will not fit in the stock location. (This is a given)

Second problem is that there isn't much room in between the radiator and the upper radiator hose to put in an adapter.

How did you guys install your temp gauge? Did you tap it into the upper hose? Or did you just measure the temperature off the cold side after the radiator?

Thanks for the help.

Would you have a picture of the location that was drilled?

i have the adapter on my upper hose. it can be done.

and thats with a aluminum radiator.

drill out the original sensor hole and tap? depends on how much larger the aftermarket sensor is.

What kind of adapter did you use? Greddy? Yashio?

The new sensor is actually smaller than the stock one, so drilling and tapping it is out of the question...=(

Not if you leave the stock sensor in place and drill+tap a new hole in the same area of the manifold water passage. I know there's a thread on this exact topic because I wondered the same thing after I got my RB in!
