read the instructions for hooking up the tach. if you don't have them, look on the manufacturer's website. i guarantee they have tech support.

noone knows what tach you have or any other details. you have to explain everything. give us too much information.

Have you tried hooking it up to the tach wire in the dash? It comes from the Tach pin on the ECU. If you remove that horrible ms-paint car from your sig I'll post the pin # LOL.

if you can't wire it hire someone who can or give everyone very very specific info.

And the MS paint pic sucks.

LOL. I think everyone would rather see your own car sitting 4x4 on stock wheels than that monstrosity

Look in the FSM for the ECU pinout, there is one pin that controls the tach. Find this wire and try attaching your tach green wire to this wire, it may or may not work depending on the tach you're using you may need a signal adapter.

This is probably why none of your gauges are working; whoever wired it didn't take the time to do it properly. As a bonus for your research in the FSM/Wiring guides you'll also find the coolant temp wire, speedo wire and oil pressure light so you can fix that stuff as well. GL

you still havent answered the question, is the signal wire on the tach green?if so connect it to the yellow/red wire from pin 7 of the ecu.

Learn to read a wiring diagram +1

it's not a 'green' wire, it is a 'tach input signal'!

whatever you do, dont splice it in! it needs to be run into the O2 sensor bung in place of the sensor, thats how it gets it's signal...... you are about a foot away from pissing everyone off on here that knows what there talking about, might want to use a little more common sense when posting if you ever want a response to a thread you start.....

It's a yellow wire with a red stripe. I have an Autometer Tach that needed the Autometer Tach adapter as the currents are different. The ECU puts out Alternating current and the tach takes Direct current. Or it's the other way around. I found this out using an Ohm meter on the ECU. I changed the setting on the Ohm meter and the tach started running off it!! lol

The tach adapter, although not cheap, is necessary and also comes with instructions. However with mine I was unable to ground the adapter or else the tach would stop working. It's weird but it reads perfectly fine. Hope this helps.

It's on the top row (if the ECU is horizontal), second set of wires, a couple in. Just touch the wires and see what happens
