alright guy i know what im gonna get flammed saying use the search button. but well its not there.

i need a write up on how to wire the rb20 into a a 89 s13. even a 91 s13 will do i can figure the difrencees out in the wires between the two.

ive looked for hours ive read many write ups. some say that say a blue and black wire is for the ignition and another write up will say its a ground wire (just an example wire color is probly wrong) . so im lost. i get the engine bay wiring that was cake or at least i think i got it right. its the under the dash wiring im having trouble with. none of the write ups really explain that part. plz dont send me to racebread. that site is dead ive already got skillzillas? write ups from there and it doesnt cover the under the dash.

maybe if you could just go out to your car and pull the passenger kick panel off and take pics of the spliced wires that would probly be the easyest way. you would be a god to me if you did that. h***if you did that for the engine bay no body will every bring this topic up again

Im gonna be going back through my harness as soon as i find another oem MAF plug, i will make a detailed walkthrough of the rb20 harness and its 89-90 s13 counterpart. If there are any particulars anyone needs just shoot me an email and ill try to include it in the write up. I can respect the guys who do this for a fee but i dont think the info should have to be paid for, chances are none of the guys that are doing this for money had to pay for the info and i dont think anybody else should either.

As as soon as I figure out whats keeping my car running, I'm going to make a fools how to RB20. It seems like a lot of people have the same problem I'm having so it'll be pretty informative.

And I have LOTS of pics.

There is dash wiring by carl_h in the stickies. Under the RB20DET collected info thread. Just read that whole thread.

I used skillzilla and carl_h's write ups and cross referenced each to make sure they agreed on wiring. Using that I had my car running on starting fluid. IE I had my fuel pump running, my injectors weren't firing.

+1 for RBforums, there's a couple useful things on there too.

I feel your pain. Im currently in the process of wiring my RB20 in. Carls H and skillzillas (i think skillzillas is missing some stuff... he only asks for 4 connections not including the maf/o2) are good to get you started but you have to deduce what the hell is going on in your situation.

For example. MY RB20 harness doesn't have a "6 pin" connector and its not cut at all. But it does have an 8 pin.... which is actually the "6 pin" connector being referred to in the guides. This begs the question, where the hell is the black/white wire from the "6 pin" connector haha. Ill get it eventually.

Well one write up only refers to the 6 pin connector and then the lower harness. Which the lower harness is the other connector in the other swap guide.

I pretty much used the full KA lower harness. Its 100X neater and I hate splicing wires directly that need to come apart some times.

I'll have to upload my pics tomorrow. Here's a hint, there's a picture made in paint on rbforums.org that helps a TON.

Yea that's the one. When I started my swap I couldn't find any pics what so ever. Carls and skillzillas swaps didn't have the pics and every one referred to racebread.com. That was my only "picture" to help me out.

Well I need a new CAS (my doing ) and a ignitor (burns up #1 coil) and then I can finish off my wiring.

So maybe a week until my car runs? Any body got the parts FS?
