rb20 t3 turbo rebuild option?

Hey everyone,

I'm from the CA18 section of this forum, but I got a t3 rb20 turbo with my ca18, it was making weird noises, I was told it's in need of rebuild...but I also read a lot that rb20 turbos aren't rebuildable as they are ball-bearing type; I found this http://www.ebay.com/itm/180805499586 Turbo Bearing Housing Garrett T3 T4 T04B T04E T61 which looks to me as the central section of the turbo with the bearing. Can the RB20 turbo be rebuilt with this part? and if so, what else would be required for a rebuild? I'm also thinking of replacing the compressor and turbine wheels (with balancing prior to installation).

NOPE will not work.

The only thing you can do is RE-work the turbo.
Change or bore out CHRA and Wheels probably shaft etc.
Check out Hypergear, I think that's what they do and there was another place in the US can't remember.

Better to just buy a T3/T4 or whatever you want.
