So i have been doing some research for a while now, and im going to be swapping a rb20 into my s14.

I think i have all the knowledge i need but i have one setback. The turbo elbow wont clear the steering rack, i heard some guy in australia will do it but i dont know who. Does anybody know where i can get an elbow?

And also how can i tell if i have a short snout crank?

i believe you're talking about the AM performance downpipe/elbow...not sure if andre is still around but his parts are quality if you can find them.
else you can grind the cast elbow or make a custom pipe.
all rb20 engines have short snout cranks...

I have/had an RB20 with mckinny mounts and my stock elbow clears with plenty of room to spare. I did make my own down pipe from the elbow to the testpipe but that was easy.

Or if you don't want to make a down pipe get a syko 3in turbo elbow, and its not only a upgrade (spool faster more hp etc etc) but it also gives tons of clearance and best of all it uses regular sr20 downpipes which are easy to find.

You can also just notch your stocker, and if it gets too much you can have it welded to seal up the hole. Lots of options, thats hardly the biggest problem in the swap.

you can wire up a Z32 maf, or get a ford cobra maf.

RB25 maf's work too.

you can also spend the money and get an aftermarket ECU and convert your car to map.

changing the maf means the ecu needs to be calibrated for it.
e60/e61 maxima maf will work as a replacement but requires a different plug.
