Swapping an rb20det into my s14 but have run into a problem. The oil pan is resting to the sway bar and crossmember preventing the motor to lower anymore and thus the motor mounts are not touching. Anyone else run into this problem?? Help!! Will taking the crossmember from the skyline clip fix this?

Thanks

If you are using aftermarket mounts, then maybe you should call the person who sold them to you.

If you are using your stock KA mounts and KA crossmember, then I have no pity for you.

if you are not using mounts then you have to use the RB X-memeber.

Got the custom motor mounts, designed to lower the motor and bring it forward--they are identical to the mounts that came off the Skyline, just shorter so the motor sits lower. Looking at both crossembers the 240sx goes straight across whereas the skyline as a bend in it to accept the oil pan

Forward? What motor mounts are supposed to bring the motor forward so that the shifter is even further away from the center of the hole??

I think you've got the X-member backwards, chief.
