youll never pass emissions in a kouki in CA, just FYI.

and please, dont cheap out and get a RB20. theres a reason they are so cheap.

i would do a SR over an RB20 any day of the week.

why? a RB20 doesnt realistically outperform a SR20 by much (see by MUCH). to me its not worth dealing with the hassle of owning a RB if you can get the same results with an engine you can get parts and information for.

not only that but every RB20 is going on 15+ years old now. and odds are they have been sitting in a junkyard for several years.

what are you going to do for emissions tho? you cant swap a kouki.

Don't even bother with the SR20,CA,RB because none of them are going to pass smog. If your car is a 95 you might be ok because that ODB1. ODB2 forget about it, Sell the car and buy a EVO or a STi. The Nazis that run the republic of Cali will leave your wallet crying after you get busted by a Drag net officer.

like the 25 is much younger...gotta face the facts any motor from any r32 or r33 is going to be getting up in age, fact of life.do what you want man dont let people tell you to go one way or another.all are fun in the end.

even with a 95 or earlier 240sx none of the jdm engines are legal swaps. i'd say turbo the KA if anything. even then you have to be careful. just move from cali. kamin, dont be trash talking the 20. some of us love ours
