rb20 still not running!!!

I'm not sure what to do i just put in a walbro 255 in and i'm not getting fuel to the engine. i'm also not getting any spark either. The engine is cranking and thats about it. I'm not sure if the wiring is messed up because i did everything that people have been telling me.

Someone please help i'm tired of not driving.

CAS provides signal to the ECU for both spark and fuel injection.. Make sure it's connected to the harness & you don't have any codes for it in the ECU.

then you have a wiring issue, not a mechanical one.

someone told me to run a wire from the ecu (black/pink) wire to the (black/pink) wire by the fuse box is that correct. What wire powers the spark.

could be a bad ignitor chip! check and make sure all your grounds for your coil packs are tight. there should be a diagram showing you how to check your ignitor chip on here somewhere you will just have to look for it!

The CAS [crank angle sensor] is the round 3-bolt metal sensor on the front upper timing cover, directly in front/attached to the exhaust cam. It sends the ECU rpm signal so the ECU can calculate fuel and spark timing. If the CAS is unhooked (or a short in the wiring, etc) the engine will not start: no spark + no fuel.

If you're getting fuel now, as in the spark plugs are wet, but no spark then your CAS is probably fine. I'd look at the ignitor...

Good news is it started (i had some wires mixed up). But i have another problem.

1. the rpm gauge is'nt working and everything is hooked up behind the cluster.

2. Smoke coming from engine bay. (not alot but its coming from around the turbo area).

3. Car boggs when giving it gas.

Can anyone help????

mine was smoking too when i first started it... it was just oil burning off i think

now its clicking (loud). its sounds like its coming from the cam gears. but not sure i hope the valvetrain is still ok
